【Abstract】 Objective To explore the application value of microwave therapy in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods 85 children with bronchial pneumonia were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group. The treatment group was treated with the same treatment as the control group except for microwave treatment. The curative effect was observed. Results In the treatment group, 24 cases were markedly effective (57.1%), 13 cases were effective (31.0%), 5 cases were ineffective (11.9%); in the control group, 17 cases were markedly effective (39.5%), 14 cases were effective (32.6%), and 12 cases were ineffective (27.9) %), the treatment results of the two groups were statistically processed, and the difference between the treatment group and the control group was significant (P<0.01). Conclusion Microwave therapy has a significant effect on bronchial pneumonia in children.

Acute pneumonia (Acuter Pneumonia) is a common disease in childhood. Severe pneumonia is one of the main causes of death in infants and young children. In recent years, combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine has been used for treatment, and its fatality rate has decreased significantly. Clinical classification is often based on pathology, pathogen, condition and course of disease. Acute bronchial pneumonia is more common in infants and young children. According to the etiology and predisposing factors of bronchial pneumonia in children, the treatment of bronchial pneumonia in children includes pathogen treatment, oxygen therapy, and keeping the airway open. Control and prevent heart failure, maintain water, electrolyte and acid-base balance, etc. This article mainly discusses an effective auxiliary treatment method of bronchial pneumonia in children-microwave therapy. From October 2000 to October 2002, 42 cases of bronchial pneumonia in children were treated with microwave in our hospital, and the results were satisfactory. The report is as follows.

1 Materials and methods

1.1 General information Select 85 children with bronchopneumonia hospitalized in our hospital for random grouping, 42 cases in the treatment group, 22 males and 20 females; 43 cases in the control group, 22 males and 21 females; age 2-15 years old, The course of the disease is about 1 month. There were 38 cases of severe wheezing and frequent coughing; 40 cases of rapid respiration> 38 times/min, dense moist rales and moderate wheezing in both lungs.

1.2 Operation method Use microwave therapeutic apparatus, round probe, diameter 7cm. The child is in the prone position, and the circular radiator is placed 1 to 2 cm above the single layer of clothing, and the back is irradiated vertically with a power of 5 to 10 W for 10 to 20 minutes, once a day, and 5 times as a course of treatment. At the same time, symptomatic treatments such as anti-inflammatory and atomized inhalation were given. The control group was treated as above except that it was not treated with microwave. Before treatment, the two groups had fever, cough, wheezing, and wet rales and stridor in the lungs. The chest radiographs were unilateral or bilateral with patchy shadows in the lung fields.

1.3 Efficacy criteria (1) Significantly effective: body temperature drops to normal within 3 days, breathing is stable, coughing and wheezing are alleviated, lung rales are significantly reduced or disappeared; (2) Effective: the above symptoms and signs improved after 3 days of treatment; (3) Ineffective: The above symptoms and signs did not improve after 3 days of treatment.

3 Discussion

Microwave therapy is a method of applying ultra-high frequency electromagnetic waves with a wavelength of 1m to 1mm (300 to 30,000 Hz) to the human body to treat diseases. The therapeutic effects of microwave mainly include: (1) Microwave radiation can increase tissue temperature, dilate blood vessels, accelerate local blood flow, increase blood vessel wall permeability, enhance metabolism, improve nutrition, promote tissue regeneration, and absorb exudate; 2) It has analgesic, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effects, and is mainly used for subacute inflammation. A weak dose is also effective for some acute inflammations. In short, microwave has the effects of analgesia, anti-inflammatory, desensitization and improvement of tissue metabolism and nutrition.

In the pathogenesis of pneumonia, pulmonary circulation disorders play a very important role. Microwave is a directional electromagnetic radiation therapy. The reason why the treatment of bronchopneumonia in children is better is the use of its biological thermal effect, which can be summed up as follows: (1) The appropriate amount of heat can improve the inflammation of the pneumonia. Microcirculation strengthens blood circulation, accelerates blood flow, accelerates the excretion of exudates, metabolites, and inflammatory mediators, which is beneficial to the dissipation of inflammation and cell regeneration; (2) It has an inhibitory effect on inflammatory mediators (by inhibiting synthesis And stimulating media), which is conducive to the control of inflammation; (3) enhance immunity, increase the body's antibodies and complement, and strengthen the function of phagocytes; (4) have antibacterial effect. In view of the above, microwave therapy is beneficial to control inflammation, promote the absorption and dissipation of inflammation, accelerate the relief of clinical symptoms and signs, and improve the therapeutic effect. It is especially effective for children with bronchial pneumonia who have a long course of disease, poor efficacy of multiple antibiotics, wet rales in the lungs, and no drug treatment. After clinical application, there is no adverse reaction, simple and easy to use, no injury, no pain, easy to accept by children, and at the same time avoiding the adverse reactions caused by the long-term use of antibiotics. It is a treatment method worthy of clinical promotion.
